From excavation to virtualization: reconstruction of the pre-Hispanic city of Oxtankah in Chetumal Bay (Quintana Roo, Mexico)

An archaeologist with over 10 years of experience in archaeological research and fieldwork in the Yucatán Peninsula. I have a strong track record in prospecting, excavation, rescue and salvage archaeology, as well as in the architectural consolidation of pre-Hispanic structures. I have participated in large-scale projects, such as the Tren Maya, and at iconic archaeological sites, including Oxkintok, Oxtankah, and Chichén Itzá.

My field experience is complemented by a specialization in digital archaeology, where I apply advanced tools for heritage research and dissemination. I am proficient in softwares such as Blender for virtual reconstructions, Agisoft Metashape for photogrammetry and point cloud processing, and QGIS and AutoCAD for spatial analysis and cartography. This combination of skills allows me to manage projects from initial fieldwork through to digital interpretation and visualization, contributing comprehensively to the protection and preservation of cultural heritage.
