Digital technologies for a comprehensive archaeology: the virtual recreation of the domus del Bailio of Colonia Patricia Corduba

Alberto Villarejo de Torres is currently working on his doctoral thesis at the University of Seville on the Roman mosaics of the Archaeological Museum of Córdoba, a comprehensive analysis of their compositional schemes, iconography, and functionality. He works in the field of professional archaeology, as well as carrying out virtual reconstruction projects for archaeological sites.

Gonzalo Castillo Alcántara holds a PhD in Archaeology from the University of Murcia and specializes in Roman-era wall painting. His research focuses on the analysis of workshops, production processes and decorative trends in Hispania from a comprehensive perspective, including archaeometric analysis and virtual recreation. He has worked on productions in the south-east of the peninsula and the provinces of Baetica and Lusitania, as well as internationally in Rome and Tipasa (Algeria).

Alejandro Muñiz García completed his doctoral dissertation at the University of Córdoba, entitled Domestic Archaeology in Roman Corduba: Between Stratigraphy and the Museum, as a member of the research group “Ancient Cities of Andalusia: From Archaeological Research to Social Valorization”. In recent years, his work has focused on the Roman private architecture of the city of Córdoba, contributing to the production of various scholarly articles, conference papers, and books on domestic architecture.
