Gender equality policy

The journal JPEVAL is committed to promoting gender equality in scientific communication, encouraging the use of inclusive and non-sexist language in published articles. Authors are encouraged to use terms that make gender diversity visible and to avoid expressions that reproduce discriminatory biases. In addition, where relevant, authors are encouraged to integrate a sex and gender analysis into the research design, methodology, interpretation of results, discussion and limitations, ensuring that findings reflect any relevant sex and gender differences.

A gender perspective will also be a key criterion in the evaluation of manuscripts. The editorial team and review staff should consider whether studies include a sex and/or gender disaggregated analysis, assessing their impact on research and the generation of equitable knowledge. These recommendations are part of our commitment to a more inclusive and rigorous science that is representative of social diversity.
