Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is being considered for publication elsewhere (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission (in MS Word format) adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in Author Guidelines.
  • Where available, DOIs should be included at the end of references.
  • The instructions in How to ensure all files are anonymised have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Please, read this document to know how to use the website as Author.

Manuscripts must be consistent with the following instructions:

a- Manuscripts are assumed to represent original work. This implies that the manuscript has not been published, nor is being considered for publication elsewhere.

b- Manuscripts must be written in English or Spanish. In the case of English, spelling should be US English or British English, but not a mixture of both. Only manuscripts written in clear concise English or Spanish will be considered for review. A manuscript may be rejected if it contains too many grammatical errors or typing mistakes.

c- The length of the manuscripts must be between 6,000 and 8,000 words.

d- Manuscripts, which should be submitted in MS Word format, shall be written in compliance with this template. You can also download sample citations from The Chicago Manual of Style (Author-Date system).

e- Manuscripts written in Spanish should include the abstract and keywords in English and Spanish.

The publication of an article implies the transfer of copyright from the author(s) to the publisher in accordance with the terms presented in the Copyright Notice.

There is no publication fee. The journal does not charge any fees for submitting work, nor does it charge any dues for publishing articles.

We will process your personal data to manage your user account, including new user registration and the submission or review of an article within a collection.

If you choose to contact us through the available channels on the website or via our social media, we will process your data to handle inquiries or requests.

Additionally, we may process personal data collected through cookies installed in your browser, provided that you have accepted them.

The legal basis that allows us to process your personal data is the consent you have previously granted. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before its withdrawal.

It is important to note that this website is not intended for individuals under 14 years of age. Therefore, minors under this age cannot provide their personal data to the Universitat without the authorization of their parents or legal guardians.

Data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they were collected and to determine any potential responsibilities that may arise from that purpose and the processing of the data, as well as while your consent remains valid. However, data may be retained, if applicable, for public interest archiving, scientific and historical research, or statistical purposes.

The University will not share your data with third parties unless required by legal or judicial obligation. However, service providers related to the processing purposes may have access to your data, and some may perform international data transfers. In such cases, the University has adopted appropriate safeguards in accordance with Articles 45 to 49 of Regulation (EU) 679/2016. If you choose to contact us via a social network, please be aware that you accept the network’s terms and conditions regarding data processing, and the Universitat is not responsible for them.

You may exercise your rights of Access, Rectification, Portability, Erasure, or, where applicable, Objection, by submitting a written request to our Data Protection Officer at the email address dpd@upv.es. Additionally, if you believe that your right to data protection has been violated, you may file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.com).
