Abstract:

The paper presents the relationship between teaching and business, highlighting the importance of training in the workplace. Specifically, the professional experience of one of the signers of the article is described when passing from student to graduate and work as an Industrial Engineer. Once in the company, when the problems were detected, a training program was elaborated to give a workshop on Kaizen that solved those problems. To this end, the workshop focused on the 5S methodology. The result was that it began to be implemented in the other plants of the company where the same problem existed.
