The Sequencing problem of Mixed-Model Assembly Line is discussed in the literature considering constraints in form of sequencing rules. The designed algorithms pretends not to violate those rules because rules violation adversely affects the activity on the assembly line. In most part of the literature, these rules refer to physical considerations of the line or are related to workload concerns. In this paper, a novel classification of the different existing and known sequencing rules and practical examples of the industrial practice are introduced.
