Professor of Mathematics Education in the at Complutense University of Madrid, member of IMI and director of the Extraordinary Chair UCM “Miguel de Guzmán” devoted to research in mathematics education since 2007. She is engaged in research developments in Advanced Mathematical thinking; Professional Development of Mathematics Teachers. Continuous participation in 15 research projects (9 European projects, 2 of them as principal investigator, 5 projects with the National Plan I+D+I of the Education Ministry in Spain, 1 with the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology). She has numerous well-known publications in research journals, books, book chapters, conference papers, etc.). Spanish Coordinator of European Project PLATINUM (2018-1-NO01-KA203-038887). During the last 10 years, she has been Visiting Research Professor in at various universities and research centers in 9 countries in Europe, Asia, and America.
