Biography

Is an Associate Professor of Special Education in the Urban Education Department of the University of Houston-Downtown. He teaches a number of Special Education Courses to future Urban General Education Teachers. The major focus of his undergraduate teaching is to help his students develop a conceptual and practical knowledge of the needs of special populations in urban environments. In addition, he also teaches Educational Research in UHD’s Master's in Teaching Program. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas, received his undergraduate degree from Rice University, a Masters from Prairie View A&M University, and earned a Ph.D. from The University Of Texas at Austin specializing in Learning Disabilities, Behavior Disorders, and Developmental Disabilities.
