IJPME is a young journal founded in 2012 and launched in 2013. IJPME is promoted by the Research Centre on Production Management and Engineering (CIGIP) at Universitat Politècnica de València. The background of what is today known as the International Journal of Production Management and Engineering is the research for the generation and diffusion of new knowledge in Operations and Supply Chain Management in addition to ICT developed by CIGIP since 1991 with the aim of extend the promotion of the progress and understanding of phenomena related with all aspects of production management and engineering.
From 2023 (vol. 11 Iss. 2), and to encourage greater use and dissemination of research published in the journal, IJPME journal changes its distribution license to a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
