Aportaciones de la limnología a la gestión de embalses

Resumen

El presente trabajo describe algunas aportaciones de la limnología a la gestión de embalses a partir de la revisión de la bibliografía y de la experiencia de los autores. Después de explicar los principales retos a los que se enfrentan los gestores de embalses, se dan ejemplos de medidas a aplicar, destacando la importancia de tener en cuenta las diferentes escalas de gestión tanto temporales (escala plurianual, anual, diaria) como espaciales (cuenca, tramo fluvial, embalse o cadena de embalses). También se revisan los métodos disponibles para el estudio del estado ecológico de los embalses.
