Abstract

There is no clarity about the impact on the productivity of various agricultural crops with Agroforestry Systems (SAF). The study aimed to quantify the change in the productivity of coffee and cocoa crops on farms with and without agroforestry systems in the Peruvian Amazon. To do this, we use the propensity score matching methodology. The results show an increase in productivity for crops with cocoa, but a decrease in crops with coffee. We conclude that it is worth generating information and studies to propose SAF compatible with improvements in productivity through joint actions between actors.
