Biografia

Marco Bovati (Milan, 1968), architect PhD, is Associate Professor in Architectural and Urban Design (ICAR 14) at the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies (DAStU), School of Architecture Urban Planning Construction Engineering, Politecnico di Milano.
His research concerns the relationship between architectural and urban design and environmental sustainability, with particular focus on the theoretical, methodological and operational implications of the ecological issue for the disciplines of space. His work is applied to strategies of sustainable architectural and urban regeneration, with particular attention to the mid-scale and the role of environmental characteristics establishing guidelines for actions.
He is author of more than 100 essays and publications on the relationship between architectural and urban design and sustainability, on sustainable architecture, on architectural and urban regeneration in fragile contexts, and on design issues in general.
