Applied General Topology
Applied General Topology is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to publishing high-quality original research articles. The journal focuses on the development of theories and methods from General Topology of broad interest with the potential to be applied in a wide range of contexts, including computer science and more, as well as on the interplay between General Topology and other areas of mathematics.
As a diamond open access journal, Applied General Topology does not charge any article processing fees (APCs). All published papers are freely available to readers worldwide without subscription or payment, in line with our commitment to the dissemination of knowledge and the promotion of open science.
Without attempting an exhaustive classification, the scope includes topics in general topology, digital topology, fixed point theory, topological algebra, topological dynamics, and fuzzy topology. The journal also welcomes contributions that connect topological methods to functional analysis or explore the categorical foundations of topological structures. Particular interest is given to works that build bridges between topology and other mathematical disciplines or apply topological ideas to problems arising in areas such as data science, computer science, or the natural sciences.
The journal does not accept submissions that focus exclusively on generalizations or modifications of topological spaces, isolated studies of separation axioms, or basic properties of mappings between generalized topological spaces.
Given its broad scope, Applied General Topology aims to publish papers of general interest and significance. Highly specialized works that do not engage with a sufficiently wide mathematical audience or that focus on narrowly technical aspects without broader relevance will not be considered for publication.
